Our 1500 square foot venue offers all inclusive, intimate, and stress-free packages under one price.
It is designed specifically for small weddings and events and includes a ceremony space, full bar, and bridal suite.
We provide both venue and full planning services to our couples.
When we say all inclusive, we mean it.

The Samimi-Berches
Mahdis and Alex had planned a beautiful 100-person wedding for April 17th, 2020. Then a pandemic happened.
Eager to be married, they tied the knot that year and snagged up the first day available at City Hall with six of their family members.
The only thing that would have made it better is a few drinks with the ones they loved most. And thus...The Simple Knot was born.
Mahdis (Mah-dees)
Founder
A Certified Wedding Planner (WPIC) with many years in hospitality, Mahdis has worked at some of the best venues and restaurants in the Waterloo Region.
Spirited, enthusiastic, and organized, she is well-rounded and eager to spearhead the team at The Simple Knot.
Mahdis is also our in-house officiant!
Alex
Director of Photography
Photography quickly went from a hobby to a passion for Alex. His ability to connect with others has been fostered through many years of first responder training.
With a keen eye and a passion for uniqueness, Alex strives to give everyone a personalized experience they can look back on for years to come.
Rebecca
Director of Operations and Planning
Rebecca is a full-time wedding planner as well as our operations queen. When you inquire, she is the person that answers all of your questions.
Rebecca is organized, detail-oriented, and a hell of a DJ. She is pretty much the boss around here!
Kelly
Head of Customer Service
A Catahoula Leopard and Beagle mix, she is the obvious choice as our Head of Customer Service.
When not being hospitable, she prefers to sleep and watch Late Night with
Seth Meyers.
Skye
Head of Security
A Cocker Spaniel and Sheltie Mix, she is the perfect Head of Security for TSK.
She stays alert and has a keen eye for trouble. When she is not working, she plays fetch and watches Modern Family.
